Face Powder in Summer vs. Winter
How to Use Your Powder When Your Skin is Tanned in Summer vs. Lighter in Winter
Different seasons mean different skin tones, but that doesn’t mean you need to change all your makeup products. Your skin tone changes in summer when the sun is out, and that’s going to affect your face makeup as the pigments of your foundation, tinted moisturizer, and powder might be too light.
So before you rush to the store to buy a whole new set of foundation, tinted moisturizer, and powder, let me show you how you can save money by using products you already have at home or by buying only one thing to fix that issue.
If your foundation or tinted moisturizer formula is thin (as it should be), you can still use them. The thin formula will give you nice coverage, and while the pigment may be lighter, it will still blend nicely with your new summer skin tone.
Here's how you can achieve this:
OPTION 1: Using Products You Already Have at Home:
After applying your foundation or tinted moisturizer, use any matte blush or bronzer with a similar pigment to your tanned skin as a face powder. Apply it with a powder brush.
OPTION 2: Buy Only One Thing:
Buy a face powder with a similar pigment to your tanned skin, usually one or two shades darker than your lighter winter skin. Apply it with a powder brush. You can use the powder by itself or after applying your foundation or tinted moisturizer. In winter, you can use this face powder as a bronzer or blush. Any time of the year you can use it as a beautiful eyeshadow.
