  • 8 Ways & Tools to Use Your Vegan Pressed Powder for Clean Application and Long-Lasting Results

    1. As a Pressed Powder Without Foundation on Bare Skin:
Application: Apply vegan pressed powder all over your face and eyelids with a vegan powder brush. Use the body of the brush (not the head) in soft, inward-to-outward strokes. Start from one side of the forehead and work your way down to the chin.

End Result: This technique creates a thin layer with a natural, soft coverage, using only vegan pressed powder as your face base.

    2. As a Foundation:

Application: To achieve a thicker coverage, use a wedge latex-free sponge to apply the vegan pressed powder. The thick side of the sponge gives a thinner application, while the thin side offers a thicker one. Apply the powder all over your face and eyelids in soft, inward-to-outward strokes. Start from one side of the forehead and work your way down to the chin.

End Result: The powder will create a medium to thicker layer for medium coverage. Even with the option for a thinner application, it will still provide more coverage than using a powder brush.

    3. As Pressed Powder on Top of Your Foundation:

In this application your vegan pressed powder job is to be the glue that sets/holds your foundation in place all day without the need to touch it up.

Application: Apply your foundation with a makeup sponge. Afterward, apply vegan pressed powder with a vegan powder brush in soft, inward-to-outward strokes. Start from one side of the forehead and work your way down to the chin.

End Result: This method provides medium coverage. For a thicker finish, use a wedge latex-free makeup sponge instead of a brush. The powder brush will pick up less product, resulting in a lighter layer that holds your foundation better and longer without being too heavy or cakey.

    4. As Eyeshadow:

Application: Use a vegan pressed powder lighter than your skin tone with a medium vegan eyeshadow brush for the eyelid, under the browline, outer corner, waterline, and tear duct. For a darker shade, use a vegan blending eyeshadow brush on the crease or a vegan round brush on the outer V of the eye.

End Result: Lighter shades create a natural eye lift and make the eyes appear larger and more awake, while darker shades add depth for a dramatic evening look.

    5. As Bronzer or Blush:

Application: Apply your vegan pressed powder with a vegan blush and highlighter brush, using soft, upward-to-downward strokes from the ear to the nose. For bronzer, apply it to the desired areas with the same brush.

End Result: Blush adds a soft, buildable color to your cheeks, while bronzer adds incredible dimension to your skin.

    6. As Highlighter:

Application: Use a medium vegan eyeshadow brush on the outer corner of the eyes, under the outer V, and tear duct. For other areas, use a vegan blush and highlighter brush.

End Result: This technique creates natural light on highlighted areas and can be used to reduce the appearance of dark circles on the lower lash line.

    7. As Brow Color:

Application: Choose a pigment that complements your skin tone and brows hair. Use the tip side of a vegan small eyeshadow brush. Start from the mid/high arch of the eyebrow to the end, then apply the remaining pigment to the front to mid-portion of the eyebrow.

End Result: Achieve a long-lasting, natural but defined brow look.

    8. As Eyeliner:

Application: Use a darker pigment with a vegan mini or angled brush on the upper lash line.

End Result: For small or narrow eyes, use a thinner eyeliner line to create more space between the eyelid and crease, making the eyes appear larger. For big, round eyes, apply a thin or medium-thick line on the upper lash line for a subtle cat-eye effect and a natural eye lift.

    Quick Tips:

  • Brushes: Use the body of the brush (not the head) in soft strokes. Vegan makeup brushes create a clean, smooth, and natural application with long-lasting results.
  • Wedge Latex-Free Sponge: This sponge provides a clean and flawless finish, with different sides for varying levels of coverage—thicker for a thinner application and thinner for a thicker application.

  • Vegan pressed powders are amazing, packed with beneficial ingredients, and offer the perfect balance of thickness and coverage that your skin and makeup will love.
